With winter at our heels, we at Mitchell’s experience a change in our seasonal opportunities. Like most chefs and restaurateurs alike, a shift in the weather means a shift to different availabilities in food offerings. Being in the great white North sometimes puts us in an especially trying situation, we always anticipate that it might take longer for certain fresh items to come into the shop, but in some cases it is actually impossible to get particular things at all. This is the case with the always treasured Citrus Marmalade, for the Pecan Pork loin sandwich. For all those out there who’s favourite has been absent on the menu at the café, I am here to tell you not to fear. The citrus Pecan Porkloin will be back in the spring/summer some time, as soon as we can obtain the perfect variety of oranges to make the fresh marmalade. I have worked hard to meet the freshness and taste requirements of our beloved customers to make the perfect spread for this delicious sandwich. In order to keep it your favourite and Mitchell’s house made, fresh-stamped approved, we will be keeping it a seasonal offering. In the mean time, do not hesitate to try the new Criss-Cross Pork and Sauce, a fun winter-time hearty favourite. It is made with the same porkloin roasted in house glazed with a maple molasses barbecue sauce, served with roasted garlic mayo, cinnamon & gala apple sauce, and red onions. You’ll love the new porkloin sandwich all winter and before you know it, the sun will be out, flowers in bloom and citrus marmalade will be back on the menu, made always with love by yours truly,
